About the South Florida PITT Club Endowed Scholarship Fund
The SFPC has established an endowed scholarship to help deserving students from the South Florida region attend Pitt. At the same time, our scholarship helps recruit the best and brightest students from South Florida to the University of Pittsburgh.

Each year the SFPC convenes a scholarship committee to select recipient(s) from a pool of Pitt applicants from the South Florida area. This pool of applicants is provided by Pitt's Office of Admission and Financial Aid. The SFPC will then contact the students in this pool to gather additional information in order to make our selection(s).

The SFPC Endowed Scholarship will fully fund the amount of the scholarship in the first year of the recipient's career at Pitt. As long as the recipient is registered as a full time student and maintains a minimum of a 3.0 GPA, funding of the scholarship for the recipient's second, third and fourth year will be provided as a matching joint effort by Office of Admission and Financial Aid

and the Pitt Alumni Association.

The amount and number of the scholarshipsawarded by the SFPC will depend on the amount of money raised. We have already permanently endowed our scholarship with over $10,000 raised. This means the SFPC can award a scholarship of $500, which will amount to $2000 over the college career of the recipient. Our goal is raise $100,000 for our endowment in order to fully fund a student's annual tuition costs.

The SFPC Scholarship is only made possible from donations from individuals such as yourself and donations are tax deductible. Companies providing Matching Gifts will also add to the level of giving. Please read below to see how you can help!
